I use my own hand-prepared
materials and apply the same principles as those used by artists
of the 15th and 16th centuries. You can see how I work on
the techniques page.
The panels are
small -- maximum 30 cm (12 inches) square and have an exquisite, jewel-like
quality. Tiny brushes allow me to reproduce minute detailing,
such as fur and whiskers.
I have exhibited
in Cambridge and London. My work is in private collections
in England and the USA.
My training in the techniques
of the old masters was learned in the studio of renaissance
expert Dr David Cranswick, over a period of several years.
